Join our Top 10 Company! We are excited to hire an Assistant Property Manager to join our Argus Professional Storage Management (APSM) team in Thomson, GA. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a self-storage facility while ensuring compliance with all state and federal laws. Your duties will include renting self-storage units and assisting customers with their selections, working closely with the Property Manager to achieve business goals, and maintaining accurate rental agreements and customer files. You will also handle office administration tasks, which involve using software, filing, and interpreting reports. Light maintenance duties such as cleaning units, pulling weeds, sweeping, mopping, and performing minor repairs will also be part of your responsibilities. Daily walkthroughs and security checks of the property are essential, along with following opening/closing and daily operational procedures. You will maintain, balance, and reconcile daily financial transactions, striving to deliver excellent customer service to all tenants and potential tenants.

Responsibilities

  • Rent self-storage units and assist customers with selection
  • Work closely with the Property Manager to achieve business goals
  • Answer phone, make calls and respond to all customer requests
  • Maintain accurate rental agreements and complete customer files
  • Perform office administration tasks including software use, filing, and interpreting reports
  • Conduct light maintenance such as cleaning units, pulling weeds, sweeping, mopping, and minor repairs
  • Perform daily walkthroughs and security checks of the property
  • Follow opening/closing and daily operational procedures
  • Maintain, balance, and reconcile daily financial transactions

Requirements

  • Valid state issued driver license
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work outdoors and indoors
  • General maintenance and light repair skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
  • 1+ years of customer service experience

Nice-to-haves

  • Adept time management and communication skills
  • 1+ years of self-storage or property management experience preferred
