About the position

Leumas Residential is seeking an experienced Assistant Property Manager to help manage a Multifamily Property. This role involves assisting with resident relations, issue resolution, leasing, property maintenance, personnel functions, budget control, and monitoring market conditions. The Assistant Property Manager will also be responsible for rent collection, accounting, marketing, and maintaining up-to-date records for the property.

Responsibilities

• Assist with resident relations and issue resolution.
• Manage leasing and property maintenance activities.
• Oversee personnel functions and budget control.
• Monitor market conditions and advertising efforts.
• Handle rent collection and accounting tasks.
• Maintain up-to-date records for the property.
• Assist with residential property takeover and transfer activities.
• Hire and supervise office staff, maintenance, and grounds teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (highly preferred but not required).
• 1-2 years of property management experience (required).
• 2+ years of lease administration experience (preferred).
• Accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Marketing experience with an understanding of market conditions.
• Experience with LIHTC properties (preferred).
• Proficiency in property management software, particularly Yardi.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Competency in MS Office and relevant databases.
• Knowledge of fair housing laws and state landlord-tenant laws.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and pass a background screening.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in property management as a property manager, community manager, or facilities manager with HUD.
• 2+ years of lease administration experience.
