About the position

The Assistant Property Manager at Robbins Property Associates is responsible for maintaining property rentals, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing laws, and providing excellent service to residents and vendors. This role involves managing vacancies, enforcing leases, and maintaining accurate resident records while contributing to marketing efforts and resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Maintain property rentals by advertising and filling vacancies.
• Negotiate and enforce leases.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws and standards.
• Interact with residents and vendors in a friendly and professional manner.
• Work weekends and holidays as needed and be on call if applicable.
• Maintain accurate resident records and update daily on rents, deposits, and application fees.
• Issue appropriate notices when necessary, such as late payments and eviction notices.
• Physically inspect the community and/or units.
• Manage lease renewals and re-certifications each month.
• Stay aware of local market conditions and trends.
• Contribute ideas to the Property Manager for marketing and improving resident satisfaction.
• Organize and file all applicable reports, leases, and paperwork.
• Process all security deposit move-out reports.
• Accept service requests from residents and route to maintenance for prompt processing.

Requirements

• Two years of experience in property management or a related field.
• Strong computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and standards.
• Experience with OneSite or RealPage is a plus.
