About the position

As an Assistant Property Manager at MAA, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the living experience for our residents. This position is designed for individuals who are not only super-organized but also enjoy engaging with people and assisting them in finding their ideal homes. You will be part of a dynamic team that is dedicated to transforming properties into vibrant communities and apartments into welcoming homes. Your responsibilities will include managing various aspects of property operations, ensuring that residents receive exceptional service and support throughout their stay. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting rent and ancillary fees from residents, which includes handling collections of delinquent accounts. You will also be tasked with posting income and deposits accurately, conducting inspections of apartment homes after move-out, and providing sales and customer service to both current and prospective residents. Leasing apartments will be a key part of your duties, along with managing office operations and providing support to the property management team. Your ability to multitask and maintain a high level of organization will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of the property and the satisfaction of our residents.

Responsibilities

  • Collect rent and ancillary fees from residents, including collections of delinquent accounts.
  • Post income and deposits accurately.
  • Inspect apartment homes after move-out.
  • Provide sales and customer service to current and prospective residents.
  • Lease apartments to new residents.
  • Manage office operations and provide support to the property management team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in leasing, sales, hospitality, or customer service.
  • Bookkeeping skills and/or experience.
  • Valid driver's license from the state of residence.
