Harbor Group Management Company is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to join our dynamic team in San Antonio, TX. The Assistant Property Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of the property under the direction of the Property Manager. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate, goal-oriented, and possess strong communication skills. In this role, you will be responsible for managing resident retention and relations, which includes investigating and resolving resident complaints. You will also create and circulate various resident correspondence on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Collecting and posting rent, managing delinquencies and collections, and attracting new tenants through effective leasing strategies will be key components of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will be expected to shop competition regularly to stay informed about their pricing, policies, and lease terms. Supervising and training property staff will also be part of your duties, ensuring that the team operates smoothly and efficiently. To succeed in this position, you must have at least two years of experience in property management or a related industry. Proficiency in social media platforms is preferred, as you will be expected to utilize these tools for marketing and communication purposes. Familiarity with real estate contracts and leases, along with developed leadership and communication skills, is essential. Experience in rent collections, posting to general ledger, and completing daily deposits will be beneficial. Familiarity with MRI software is a plus, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively is crucial for success in this role.
