About the position

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as an Assistant Property Manager. This role involves providing crucial support to the Property Manager in overseeing a diverse portfolio of multifamily properties in San Francisco. It offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth, serving as a stepping stone towards a promotion to Property Manager after 12 months. The Assistant Property Manager will ensure efficient property operations and management, handling various tasks such as move-ins and move-outs, vendor management, and property inspections.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain good tenant relations by promptly responding to tenant requests and inquiries.
  • Handle move-in and move-out functions according to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Oversee turnover work, including painting, repairs, and final cleaning.
  • Manage time to completion to meet reporting goals set by the Asset Manager.
  • Assist the Maintenance Coordinator to ensure efficient property maintenance and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with all governing regulations, codes, and laws.
  • Coordinate access for the Leasing Team for property showings.
  • Administer the day-to-day implementation of a standard operating procedural manual.
  • Maintain records in a timely and organized manner, including lease agreements and maintenance requests.
  • Attend and complete advanced educational courses and seminars.
  • Participate in local professional-related activities to expand knowledge and network.
  • Embrace the concept of Kaizen and seek ways to enhance property management processes.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in property management or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of property upkeep.
  • Proficiency in property management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Knowledge of local and state housing laws and regulations is a plus.
  • Must speak Cantonese.
