We are seeking a qualified Assistant Manager/Leasing Consultant to join our team in Memphis, TN. As the Assistant Manager of multiple properties, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and contributing to the achievement of our leasing and resident retention goals. You will be part of a great team of property management professionals dedicated to our residents' satisfaction and the growth of our communities. In addition to competitive salaries, we offer commissions for new leases and renewals, providing an opportunity for you to shine and achieve fantastic results. Your responsibilities will include handling all aspects of leasing apartments, which involves greeting prospective residents, touring the community, and closing the sale prior to move-in. You will also conduct inspections of vacant apartments to ensure they are show-ready, monitor the accuracy of advertisements, and assist in leasing events and promotions. A strong marketing and sales ability is necessary to increase occupancy and resident satisfaction, and you will need to maintain a working knowledge of Fair Housing laws and regulations concerning multi-family leasing and management. This position requires a professional appearance and demeanor, as well as the ability to create relationships with residents and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Handle all aspects of leasing apartments, including greeting prospective residents, touring the community, and closing the sale prior to move-in.
  • Conduct inspections of vacant apartments to ensure they are show-ready.
  • Monitor the accuracy of advertisements and document traffic and marketing sources.
  • Assist in leasing events and promotions and follow up with leads.
  • Use a creative and energetic approach to marketing the community and its advantages.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Fair Housing laws and regulations concerning multi-family leasing and management.
  • Perform inspections of common areas and community amenities.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by the Property Manager.

Requirements

  • 1-4 years of experience as a Leasing Consultant or Assistant Manager.
  • Superior telephone, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience in a results-oriented, team-based property management environment.
  • Experience with Resman or other property management software is a plus.
  • Marketing and sales abilities to increase occupancy and resident satisfaction.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor required.
  • Ability to create relationships with residents and vendors and work with a diverse array of people.
  • Must have a driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in property management software such as Resman.
