In your role as an Assistant Property Manager at CubeSmart Self Storage, you will be required to manage and maintain your property, which includes skills in both customer service and property maintenance. This position is crucial in ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service while also maintaining the physical integrity of the storage facility. The Assistant Property Manager is responsible for developing customer relationships by identifying self-storage needs and providing appropriate solutions while delivering a WOW! or 5-Star service. You will interact face to face with customers, providing excellent service and building rapport. Meeting monthly sales goals and metrics is a key part of your role, as is walking the property to perform lock checks and showing units to customers. You will work both independently and as part of a team to rent self-storage spaces, sell store merchandise, manage the leasing process, accept payments utilizing our Point-of-Sale System (POS), complete daily bank deposits, and make courtesy calls to customers regarding late payments. In terms of property maintenance, the physical requirements include daily walks of the property, cleaning the units and the property, and opening and closing of the storage doors, which can weigh up to 50 lbs. You will be responsible for maintaining the facility, which includes mopping, sweeping, changing light bulbs, cleaning out storage units, and similar light activities. Keeping a clean and safe storage facility is essential to ensure that the condition meets company guidelines, including clean restrooms, landscaping, parking, paving, fences, walls, and doors.
