About the position

As an Assistant Property Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the property while ensuring exceptional customer service. This position requires a blend of customer service skills and property maintenance abilities. You will be responsible for developing customer relationships by identifying self-storage needs and providing appropriate solutions while delivering a WOW! or 5-Star service. Your interactions with customers will be face-to-face, where you will provide excellent service and build rapport. You will also be tasked with meeting monthly sales goals and metrics, which are essential for the success of the property. In addition to customer service, you will perform property maintenance tasks. This includes daily walks of the property to perform lock checks, cleaning the units and the property, and managing the leasing process. You will be responsible for accepting payments utilizing our Point-of-Sale System (POS), completing daily bank deposits, and making courtesy calls to customers regarding late payments. Physical requirements for this role include the ability to open and close storage doors (up to 50 lbs.), maintain cleanliness of the facility, and ensure that the property meets company guidelines for safety and cleanliness. Responsibilities

  • Develop customer relationships by identifying self-storage needs and providing appropriate solutions while delivering a WOW! or 5-Star service.
  • Interact face to face with customers, providing excellent service and building rapport.
  • Meet monthly sales goals and metrics.
  • Walk the property to perform lock checks and show units to customers.
  • Work both independently and on a team renting self-storage spaces and selling store merchandise.
  • Manage the leasing process and accept payments utilizing our Point-of-Sale System (POS).
  • Complete daily bank deposits and make courtesy calls to customers regarding late payments.
  • Perform daily walks of the property and clean the units and the property.
  • Open and close storage doors (up to 50 lbs.) and maintain the facility by mopping, sweeping, changing light bulbs, and cleaning out storage units.
  • Keep a clean and safe storage facility to ensure conditions meet company guidelines.

Requirements

  • A positive and outgoing personality with a passion for helping people.
  • Experience in delivering high quality customer service to a diverse customer market.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Valid driver's license and insurance with access to reliable transportation used during the workday.
