About the position

At CubeSmart, we believe that our culture makes the difference, and we are looking for an Assistant Property Manager to join our team in Dallas, Texas. This role is pivotal in managing and maintaining our self-storage property while ensuring exceptional customer service. As an Assistant Property Manager, you will be responsible for developing strong customer relationships by identifying their self-storage needs and providing tailored solutions that deliver a WOW! or 5-Star service. You will interact face-to-face with customers, building rapport and meeting monthly sales goals and metrics. Your responsibilities will also include walking the property to perform lock checks and showing units to customers, ensuring that all interactions reflect our commitment to customer satisfaction. In addition to customer service, you will play a crucial role in property maintenance. This includes performing daily walks of the property, cleaning units, and ensuring that the facility meets company guidelines for cleanliness and safety. You will be responsible for light maintenance tasks such as mopping, sweeping, changing light bulbs, and keeping the storage facility in excellent condition. The physical demands of this role include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, as well as frequent standing, sitting, kneeling, and climbing. Responsibilities

  • Develop customer relationships by identifying self-storage needs and providing appropriate solutions while delivering a WOW! or 5-Star service.
  • Interact face to face with customers, providing excellent service and building rapport.
  • Meet monthly sales goals and metrics.
  • Walk the property to perform lock checks and show units to customers.
  • Work both independently and on a team renting self-storage spaces, selling store merchandise, and managing the leasing process.
  • Accept payments utilizing our Point-of-Sale System (POS), complete daily bank deposits, and make courtesy calls to customers regarding late payments.
  • Perform daily walks of the property, cleaning the units and the property, and opening and closing storage doors (up to 50 lbs).
  • Maintain the facility, including mopping, sweeping, changing light bulbs, and cleaning out storage units.
  • Keep a clean and safe storage facility to ensure conditions meet company guidelines.

Requirements

  • A positive and outgoing personality with a passion for helping people.
  • Experience in delivering high-quality customer service to a diverse customer market.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Valid driver's license and insurance with access to reliable transportation used during the workday.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to work Saturdays.
  • Experience in property management or related fields.
