About the position

At Bozzuto, the role of the Assistant Property Manager (APM) is pivotal in creating exceptional experiences for residents and fostering a vibrant community. As an APM, you will embody the core values of creativity, concern, passion, and the pursuit of perfection that have guided Bozzuto for three decades. Your leadership will set the standard for the team, ensuring that every interaction with residents is positive and reflective of the Bozzuto brand. You will be responsible for achieving financial objectives through effective rent collection and delinquency management, while also engaging in sales and marketing efforts to attract new residents. Conducting personalized tours of the community will be a key part of your role, as you strive to build brand loyalty and create lasting connections with the local community. In addition to your sales and marketing responsibilities, you will ensure that the community's interior and exterior are maintained to the highest standards. Your attention to detail will be crucial in representing the Bozzuto brand with professionalism. As a mentor and coach, you will inspire your team members to excel in their roles, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment. The APM position requires flexibility, as you will need to work weekends to accommodate prospective residents, with two days off during the week. You will also step in to lead the team in the absence of the Property Manager, demonstrating your ability to take charge and ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities

  • Leading by example and embodying the core values and culture of Bozzuto.
  • Achieving financial objectives through effective rent collection and managing delinquency.
  • Conducting informative and personalized tours of the community to secure new leases.
  • Building brand loyalty by ensuring every resident interaction is positive.
  • Maintaining impeccable standards for the community's interior and exterior.
  • Coaching, mentoring, and inspiring team members to excel in their roles.
  • Working weekends to accommodate prospective residents, with two days off during the week.
  • Taking responsibility for leading in the absence of the Property Manager.

Requirements

  • A college degree.
  • 2+ years of experience in property management, hospitality, or retail industries.
  • Exposure to revenue, P&L, and budget management.
  • Strong social media presence and proficiency (Pinterest, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram).
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with industry software, preferably YARDI.
  • Sales aptitude and experience.
  • A real estate license or willingness to obtain one within 90 days of hire.
