About the position

As an Assistant Property Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the property while ensuring exceptional customer service. This position requires a blend of customer service skills and property maintenance responsibilities. You will be responsible for developing customer relationships by identifying self-storage needs and providing appropriate solutions while delivering a WOW! or 5-Star service. Interacting face to face with customers, you will provide excellent service and build rapport, meeting monthly sales goals and metrics. Your daily tasks will include walking the property to perform lock checks and showing units to customers. You will work both independently and as part of a team to rent self-storage spaces, sell store merchandise, manage the leasing process, accept payments utilizing our Point-of-Sale System (POS), complete daily bank deposits, and make courtesy calls to customers regarding late payments. In terms of property maintenance, you will be required to perform physical tasks such as daily walks of the property, cleaning the units and the property, and opening and closing storage doors, which can weigh up to 50 lbs. You will also maintain the facility by mopping, sweeping, changing light bulbs, cleaning out storage units, and ensuring that the storage facility meets company guidelines for cleanliness and safety, including maintaining clean restrooms, landscaping, parking, and paving, as well as the condition of fences, walls, and doors.

Responsibilities

  • Develop customer relationships by identifying self-storage needs and providing appropriate solutions while delivering a WOW! or 5-Star service.

  • Perform daily walks of the property, cleaning the units and the property, and opening and closing storage doors (up to 50 lbs).
  • Maintain the facility which includes mopping, sweeping, changing light bulbs, cleaning out storage units, and similar light activities.
  • Keep a clean and safe storage facility to ensure condition meets company guidelines (i.e., clean restrooms, landscaping, parking, and paving, fence, walls, doors).

Requirements

  • A positive and outgoing personality with a passion for helping people.
  • Experience in delivering high quality customer service to a diverse customer market.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Valid driver's license and insurance with access to reliable transportation used during the workday.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to work Saturdays.
  • Experience in property management or self-storage industry.
