About the position

We are seeking an Assistant Property Manager to join our team at the Louisville Metro Housing Authority. The ideal candidate will assist the Property Managers in the public housing operations on public housing developments and at scattered site locations, ensuring a high level of tenant satisfaction and property performance. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity of our housing programs and providing excellent service to our tenants. The Assistant Property Manager will be responsible for a variety of tasks that contribute to the overall management of the properties, including tenant relations, lease administration, and record-keeping. In this position, you will assist in managing all aspects of assigned properties, which includes handling tenant inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally. You will conduct property tours for prospective tenants, showcasing the benefits of living in our community. Additionally, you will assist in lease administration, including lease renewals and rent collection, ensuring that all transactions are recorded accurately. Your role will also involve maintaining accurate records of property-related transactions, which is essential for compliance with housing regulations and policies. Requirements

  • Knowledge of laws governing public housing community resources
  • Knowledge of HAL and HUD policies and procedures
  • Understanding of Section 8 housing regulations
  • Familiarity with facilities management practices
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Proficient in data entry and file management
  • Understanding of property management principles
  • 1 year of property management experience
