About the position

First Pointe Management Group (FPMG) specializes in acquiring and developing distinctive properties, and we are currently seeking a friendly and energetic Assistant Property Manager for our 315-unit apartment community located in Citrus Heights, CA. This exciting position requires a dedicated individual who will act as a steward for the community, building and facilitating healthy resident relationships. The Assistant Property Manager will play a crucial role in encouraging prospective residents to choose our community through creative advertising and engaging tours, while also providing exceptional customer service to current residents. In this role, you will support the Property Manager by strategizing the financial performance of the community, reporting on key metrics, and being a hands-on leader. The ideal candidate will have experience in affordable housing and a strong understanding of Fair Housing regulations. You will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with residents, owners, and vendors, ensuring a high level of professionalism and communication throughout your interactions. The position operates on a Monday to Friday schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM, and requires 1-2 years of experience as an Assistant Property Manager, particularly in managing properties with over 200 units. Familiarity with property management software such as Yardi, Yieldstar, and Rent Café is essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are also required for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Build and facilitate healthy resident relationships within the community.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience as an Assistant Property Manager in affordable housing.
  • Knowledge and formal training of Fair Housing Rules and Regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software (Yardi, Yieldstar, Rent Café).
  • Strong communication skills and a high level of professionalism.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
