About the position

The Assistant Property Manager at Young Management Corporation will play a crucial role in the daily operations of the property management office. This position involves a variety of administrative and clerical tasks that support the Property Manager in ensuring the smooth functioning of the site management office. The Assistant Property Manager will be responsible for marketing and leasing units, collecting rents, and addressing the needs of tenants. Additionally, the role includes dispatching maintenance personnel to ensure that all service requests are handled promptly and efficiently. In this position, the Assistant Property Manager will maintain regular office hours and ensure that all files are organized and up to date. A professional attitude and appearance are essential, as the Assistant will be the first point of contact for residents and potential tenants. The role also involves planning and attending resident activities, conducting inspections of units before and after tenant occupancy, and auditing files for compliance with inspections. The Assistant will assist in the orientation of new residents and follow up with personal visits to ensure satisfaction. Moreover, the Assistant Property Manager will assist in the collection of monthly payments and security deposits, record and dispatch service requests, and obtain necessary signatures for lease agreements and annual recertifications. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to providing excellent customer service to residents.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day administrative and clerical tasks.
  • Support the Property Manager with site management operations.
  • Market and lease units to potential tenants.
  • Collect rents and manage tenant payments.
  • Meet the needs of tenants and address their concerns.
  • Dispatch maintenance personnel for service requests.
  • Plan and attend resident activities and management-sponsored events.
  • Inspect units before and after tenant occupancy.
  • Audit files for inspections and compliance.
  • Assist with the orientation of new residents and follow up with personal visits.
  • Record and dispatch service requests and follow up on them.
  • Obtain signatures for Annual Recertification and lease agreements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in property management or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain a professional attitude and appearance.
  • Proficiency in office software and property management systems.
