About the position

As an Assistant Property Manager at CubeSmart Self Storage, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the property while delivering exceptional customer service. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about helping others and possess a positive, outgoing personality. You will be responsible for developing customer relationships by identifying their self-storage needs and providing appropriate solutions, ensuring that every interaction is met with a WOW! or 5-Star service. Your role will involve face-to-face interactions with customers, where you will build rapport and meet monthly sales goals and metrics. In addition to customer service, you will also be tasked with various property maintenance responsibilities. This includes performing daily walks of the property to conduct lock checks, cleaning units, and ensuring that the facility meets company guidelines for cleanliness and safety. You will be involved in the leasing process, accepting payments through our Point-of-Sale System (POS), completing daily bank deposits, and making courtesy calls to customers regarding late payments. The physical demands of the job include lifting up to 50 lbs, mopping, sweeping, changing light bulbs, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for customers. Responsibilities

  • Develop customer relationships by identifying self-storage needs and providing appropriate solutions while delivering a WOW! or 5-Star service.
  • Interact face to face with customers, providing excellent service and building rapport.
  • Meet monthly sales goals and metrics.
  • Walk the property to perform lock checks and show units to customers.
  • Work both independently and on a team renting self-storage spaces, selling store merchandise, and managing the leasing process.
  • Accept payments utilizing our Point-of-Sale System (POS), complete daily bank deposits, and make courtesy calls to customers regarding late payments.
  • Perform daily walks of the property, cleaning the units and the property, and opening and closing storage doors (up to 50 lbs).
  • Maintain the facility which includes mopping, sweeping, changing light bulbs, cleaning out storage units, and similar light activities.
  • Keep a clean and safe storage facility to ensure condition meets company guidelines (i.e., clean restrooms, landscaping, parking, paving, fence, walls, doors).

Requirements

  • A positive and outgoing personality with a passion for helping people.
  • Experience in delivering high quality customer service to a diverse customer market.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Valid driver's license and insurance with access to reliable transportation used during the workday.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to work Saturdays.
  • Experience in property management or self-storage industry.
