As an Assistant Property Manager at CubeSmart Self Storage, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the property while providing exceptional customer service. This position requires a blend of customer service skills and property maintenance responsibilities. You will be responsible for developing customer relationships by identifying self-storage needs and providing appropriate solutions, ensuring that every interaction delivers a WOW! or 5-Star service. Your role will involve face-to-face interactions with customers, where you will build rapport and meet monthly sales goals and metrics. In addition to customer service, you will perform regular property maintenance tasks. This includes walking the property to conduct lock checks, showing units to customers, and managing the leasing process. You will also be responsible for accepting payments using our Point-of-Sale System (POS), completing daily bank deposits, and making courtesy calls to customers regarding late payments. Physical requirements for this role include daily walks of the property, cleaning units, and maintaining the facility to ensure it meets company guidelines. This includes tasks such as mopping, sweeping, changing light bulbs, and ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the storage facility. Responsibilities

  • Develop customer relationships by identifying self-storage needs and providing appropriate solutions while delivering a WOW! or 5-Star service.
  • Interact face to face with customers, providing excellent service and building rapport.
  • Meet monthly sales goals and metrics.
  • Walk the property to perform lock checks and show units to customers.
  • Work both independently and on a team renting self-storage spaces, selling store merchandise, and managing the leasing process.
  • Accept payments utilizing our Point-of-Sale System (POS), complete daily bank deposits, and make courtesy calls to customers regarding late payments.
  • Perform daily walks of the property, cleaning the units and the property, and opening and closing storage doors (up to 50 lbs.).
  • Maintain the facility which includes mopping, sweeping, changing light bulbs, cleaning out storage units, and similar light activities.
  • Keep a clean and safe storage facility to ensure condition meets company guidelines (i.e., clean restrooms, landscaping, parking, and paving, fence, walls, doors).

Requirements

  • A positive and outgoing personality with a passion for helping people.
  • Experience in delivering high quality customer service to a diverse customer market.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Valid driver's license and insurance with access to reliable transportation used during the workday.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to work Saturdays.
  • Experience in property management or self-storage industry.
