About the position

The Assistant Property Manager at Lynd Management Group, LLC plays a crucial role in supporting the Property Manager in overseeing property operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, and managing leasing activities. This position is responsible for maintaining operational goals, generating cash flow, and providing excellent customer service to current and prospective residents.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Property Manager in overseeing the office in their absence.
  • Ensure daily bank deposits are made and manage all funds pertaining to the property.
  • Support and coordinate leasing, resident retention, and customer service activities.
  • Perform leasing of units, including generating traffic and responding to inquiries.
  • Provide tours to prospective residents and assist in closing sales by obtaining rental applications and deposits.
  • Negotiate new leases and renewals as per property specifications.
  • Maintain resident files and ensure timely move-in for new residents.
  • Display a friendly and courteous attitude towards residents and clients.
  • Handle maintenance requests and follow up with residents regarding maintenance work.
  • Collect rent from residents and post into RealPage OneSite.
  • Complete various reports including move-out, vacancy, and market surveys in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with delinquent residents regarding late notices and eviction notices.
  • Assist with planning and attending community events for residents.
  • Monitor property landscape and report potential safety hazards.
  • Process purchase orders and invoices for accounting.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2-3 years of related experience in property management, leasing, or hospitality.
  • Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations and multi-family housing laws.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience in customer service, sales, and/or leasing.
  • Knowledge of general bookkeeping and accounting practices.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with RealPage OneSite software.
  • Sales knowledge and skills to effectively close leases.
  • Organizational skills to maintain records and schedules.
