The Assistant Recreation Facility Coordinator plays a crucial role in the management and daily operations of the recreation facility. This position is considered safety-sensitive, meaning that applicants who successfully pass the interview process will be required to undergo drug and alcohol testing. The primary purpose of this role is to assist in ensuring that the facility operates smoothly and efficiently while providing a safe environment for all patrons and staff. In this position, effective communication is essential. The coordinator must be able to communicate clearly in both spoken and written English to ensure that all operations are conducted safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include scheduling facility use, coordinating reservations, and managing the opening and closing of the facility. The coordinator will monitor activities to ensure compliance with established guidelines and enforce rules and regulations to maintain the safety and welfare of participants and staff. In emergency situations, the coordinator will respond promptly to alarms and other incidents involving patrons and staff. Additionally, the coordinator will be responsible for maintaining inventory, setting up and taking down recreational equipment, and operating various facility equipment such as adjustable basketball goals and AV equipment. Interacting with patrons to provide a positive customer experience is a key aspect of this role, as is providing accurate information regarding activities and services offered at the facility. The coordinator will also coordinate staffing needs, supervise assigned staff and volunteers, maintain records and reports, review and sign staff time sheets, generate supply lists, submit maintenance requests, reconcile receipts, make bank deposits, and manage funds. Other tasks may be assigned as needed.
