About the position

The Assistant Recreation Facility Coordinator at Siegel Park is responsible for assisting in the management and daily operations of the recreation facility. This role involves ensuring the safety and efficiency of facility operations, coordinating reservations, supervising staff, and providing a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the management and daily operations of the recreation facility.
  • Schedule facility use and coordinate reservations; open and close facilities.
  • Monitor and ensure all activities are conducted within guidelines.
  • Enforce rules and regulations for the safety and welfare of participants and staff; respond to emergency calls.
  • Maintain inventory and operate recreational equipment such as basketball goals and AV equipment.
  • Interact with patrons to provide a positive customer experience and accurate information regarding activities and services.
  • Coordinate facility staffing needs and supervise assigned staff and volunteers.
  • Maintain records and reports, and review and sign time sheets of staff.
  • Generate supply lists for areas within the facility and submit maintenance requests.
  • Reconcile receipts, make bank deposits, and manage funds.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Parks and Recreation or related field preferred.
  • A minimum of one (1) year experience in facility programming, recreation management, or closely related is required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must have current CPR/AED certifications or acquire certification within six (6) months from date of hire.

Benefits

  • Hourly pay of $19.24
  • Not eligible for the city's benefit plan
