About the position

Wolfgang Puck Catering is seeking an Assistant Regional Controller to join our team in a hybrid role based on the West Coast. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about hospitality and possess a strong background in accounting or finance. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the financial operations of our assigned divisions or subsidiaries, contributing to the monthly, quarterly, and fiscal close processes. This includes the preparation of financial statements and ensuring accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated professional with a proven ability to establish excellent working relationships across various levels of management and team members. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and distributing billings to clients, reviewing the general ledger and balance sheet, and resolving any reconciliation issues that may arise. You will track and maintain monthly profit and loss statements as well as balance sheet activity, assist in the review and reconciliation of credit card and cash transactions, and help prepare various state and local sales tax returns. Additionally, you will handle special projects as needed, showcasing your ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and distribute billings to clients
  • Review general ledger and balance sheet, resolving reconciliation issues

  • Assist with review and reconciliation of credit card and cash transactions
  • Assist in preparation of various State and Local sales tax returns
  • Handle special projects as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent professional experience
  • A minimum of two years of corporate accounting experience in a retail industry
  • Experience in a POS, cash and credit card environment
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient knowledge of Excel required
  • Working experience in Microsoft Dynamics GP software a plus

  • Experience in the hospitality industry
