About the position

The Assistant Residence Director at Seven Hills Foundation plays a crucial role in providing direct support and services to individuals with developmental disabilities. This position involves overseeing daily operations, training and supervising staff, and implementing individualized care plans to enhance the quality of life for residents. The Assistant Residence Director works closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that each individual's needs and goals are met while maintaining high standards of care and ethical practices.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate good communication skills and sound professional judgment.
  • Assist Residence Director with the oversight of the day-to-day operations of the assigned residence.
  • Ensure that all individuals are treated with respect, dignity, and support to take control over their routines and activities.
  • Teach, assist, and support individuals in the community and at home to enhance their social roles.
  • Support individuals in exploring and expressing their interest in community membership.
  • Maintain regular contact and a positive relationship with individuals' family members/guardians.
  • Assist with supervising staff directly and act as a team leader.
  • Implement ISP/Support Plans and strategies as written and at the frequency stated in the plan.
  • Respond effectively to potential safety hazards and emergencies.
  • Assist with safeguarding sensitive and confidential data.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • CPR Certification required.
  • Medication administration certification preferred.
  • Driver's License required with a good driving record.
  • Supervising experience preferred.
  • Basic computer literacy/proficiency preferred.
  • Prior direct care experience preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Medication Administration Program (MAP) certification preferred.
  • College experience or enrollment preferred.
  • Varied interests and personal connections in the local community.
