About the position

The Assistant Retail Sales Manager at Pull-A-Part is responsible for overseeing retail operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, and managing a team to meet performance goals. This role emphasizes safety, environmental stewardship, and adherence to company policies while fostering a positive work environment. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, possess leadership skills, and be committed to the company's core values of respect, help, learn, and grow.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a culture that focuses on 'Safety First' & 'Environmental Stewardship'.
  • Perform all retail-related functions while exhibiting the company's core values.
  • Prioritize the cleanliness and appearance of the facility and work area.
  • Deliver friendly, helpful, and professional customer service to customers.
  • Maintain positive relationships with vendors, suppliers, and third parties.
  • Manage the retail team and execute the Company Playbook, including policies and safety guidelines.
  • Motivate the retail team to meet daily performance goals.
  • Hire, train, and develop confident employees.
  • Ensure sales & marketing initiatives are communicated and implemented by Customer Service Associates.
  • Perform general office administration duties, including answering phones and processing paperwork.
  • Commit to working retail store hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
  • Work in an industrial environment with exposure to all weather conditions.

Requirements

  • Commitment to delivering friendly, helpful, and professional customer service.
  • Leadership/supervisory experience in retail.
  • Basic knowledge of auto parts.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills.
  • Ability to motivate and lead team members.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office products.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple processes and projects.
  • Willingness to stand, walk, bend, lift 50lbs, and stretch as required.
  • Reliable means of transportation to work.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the automotive salvage & recycling industry.
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish.
