About the position

The Assistant Sales/Finance Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the sales policies and objectives of the organization. This position involves setting both short- and long-term sales strategies, evaluating the effectiveness of current sales programs, and enhancing customer satisfaction through product or service recommendations. The role requires a blend of creativity, extensive experience, and the ability to lead and direct others, while also serving as a key point of contact for automotive sales and finance matters.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in directing and overseeing the organization's sales policies, objectives, and initiatives.
  • Set short- and long-term sales strategies and evaluate the effectiveness of current sales programs.
  • Recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential.
  • Determine annual unit and gross-profit plans by implementing marketing strategies; analyzing trends and results.
  • Maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
  • Manage, develop, coach, control, and motivate the sales force to develop their skills to ensure high professional standards are achieved and monthly sales targets are met.
  • Prepare reports as needed.
  • Process and close deals in the finance office when needed.

Requirements

  • Experience in sales and finance within the automotive industry.
  • Familiarity with DealerTrack Dealer Management System and Vin Solutions.
  • Strong understanding of customer motivations and sales strategies.
