About the position

The Assistant Sales Manager will support the Sales Manager in driving sales performance and ensuring exceptional customer service within a retail environment. Responsibilities

• Assist the Sales Manager in developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve store goals.
• Supervise and train staff, ensuring employee orientation and adherence to company policies.
• Oversee daily operations, including managing payroll and maintaining accurate employee records.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock audits, and manage inventory control processes.
• Maintain an organized sales floor, ensuring product displays are appealing and well-stocked.
• Utilize effective phone etiquette when communicating with customers and team members.
• Collaborate with team members to promote a positive work environment that encourages teamwork.

Requirements

• Proven experience in retail management or as an assistant manager is preferred.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices.
• Ability to sell products effectively while providing outstanding customer service.
• Bilingual skills are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customer bases.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing clerical tasks.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and lead a team effectively.
• Proficient in payroll systems and employee record management.
