About the position
The Assistant Sales Manager at Stanton Optical plays a crucial role in supporting the Sales Manager and Brand Manager to drive sales performance in a fast-paced retail environment. This position involves leading a sales team, ensuring high-quality customer satisfaction, and preparing for career advancement through additional responsibilities and training.
Responsibilities
- Drive sales to exceed personal and store daily, weekly and monthly revenue goals while delivering outstanding customer service experience.
- Support Sales Manager duties frequently acting as Manager on duty.
- Support training, coaching, and development of retail associates.
- Analyze daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly reports to ensure all staff members are achieving desired goals.
- Resolve customer issues and increase customer satisfaction.
- Communicate and execute company's standards and directives to staff.
- Assume responsibility for other duties as developed.
- Execute simple customer repairs, assemble lenses into frames and edge stock lenses to expedite delivery of eyeglasses.
- Ensure brand standards are met in the lab area, and notify management of equipment malfunctions, incomplete orders, incorrect lenses, etc.
- Keep track of delivery time commitments to patients to ensure 100% compliance.
Requirements
- Retail management experience of at least one year in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Experience in a secondary leadership role or managed small sales teams.
- Demonstrated outstanding sales performance throughout retail career.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and be flexible with changing business needs in a team environment.
- Skills necessary to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledgeable about MS Word, Google Docs, etc.
- Optical experience is a plus.
