About the position

The Assistant Sales Manager at GEM Plumbing & Heating plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between sales and dispatch operations. This position is responsible for overseeing the residential sales team, ensuring they meet daily sales revenue goals, and facilitating effective communication between sales and operational teams. The role involves managing sales performance metrics, assisting with consumer financing, and contributing to the development of promotional strategies in collaboration with the sales manager and marketing team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the residential sales team achieves daily sales revenue goals.
• Facilitate, track, and evaluate daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance and adherence to processes.
• Work with the Sales Manager and marketing team to develop promotions for new programs and business planning.
• Assist in tracking Residential Sales commissions and spiffs for both outside and inside sales.
• Participate in sales training and M&A training for the sales team.
• Create and maintain all items in the company sales software.
• Schedule and dispatch sales representatives to appointments to maximize opportunities.
• Assist consumers with financing and utility rebates paperwork to ensure all documents are signed and approved before work starts.
• Obtain all relevant job information from sales reps to ensure operations have everything needed to order materials and schedule jobs.

Requirements

• Proven experience (3+ years) in residential sales with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Prior experience in the home services industry is highly preferred.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to lead and inspire a sales team.
