About the position

The Assistant Sales Manager at Stanton Optical plays a crucial role in driving sales performance and ensuring high-quality customer service in a fast-paced retail environment. This position supports the Sales Manager and Brand Manager in executing action plans, training and developing retail associates, and resolving customer issues. The role is designed for individuals who are passionate about leadership and customer satisfaction, with opportunities for professional growth and development within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales to exceed personal and store daily, weekly and monthly revenue goals while delivering outstanding customer service experience.
  • Support Sales Manager duties frequently acting as Manager on duty.
  • Support training, coaching, and development of retail associates.
  • Analyze daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly reports to ensure all staff members are achieving desired goals.
  • Resolve customer issues and increase customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate and execute company's standards and directives to staff.
  • Assume responsibility for other duties as developed.
  • Execute simple customer repairs, assemble lenses into frames and edge stock lenses to expedite delivery of eyeglasses.
  • Ensure brand standards are met in the lab area, and notify management of equipment malfunctions, incomplete orders, incorrect lenses, etc.
  • Keep track of delivery time commitments to patients to ensure 100% compliance.

Requirements

  • Retail management experience of at least one year in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Experience in a secondary leadership role or managed small sales teams.
  • Demonstrated outstanding sales performance throughout retail career.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and be flexible with changing business needs in a team environment.
  • Skills necessary to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of MS Word, Google Docs, etc.
  • Optical experience is a plus.
