About the position

The Assistant Senior, Research at Denver Health plays a crucial role in supporting clinical research and quality improvement initiatives. The role also includes mentoring newer research assistants and contributing to the overall improvement of team processes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform subject-related activities, such as screening and consenting for recruitment, conducting chart reviews, conducting patient interviews, collecting samples, patient navigation, and tracking outcomes.
  • Create and maintain clear, concise, and organized study records.
  • Exercise confidentiality regarding patient and other sensitive information.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory and ethical guidelines, including Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards.
  • Perform data collection and entry, and intervention fidelity.
  • Conduct literature reviews, organizing results and summarizing findings, and assist in research publications by contributing to writing and analyzing data.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with research subjects, teams, collaborators, and colleagues.
  • Assist with improving team processes and bring them to leadership's attention, aligning with DHHA's Lean management principles.
  • Complete training requirements for COMIRB and CITI.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of clinical research experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with investigators, staff, and study subjects.
  • Comfortable working with diverse populations.
  • Sound organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of protocol adherence and general research practices.
  • Knowledge of research methods and rules of patient confidentiality.
  • Experience with study subject interviews and qualitative research methods.
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Strong desire for team improvement and growth.
