About the position

The Assistant Service Manager at Texas Roadhouse plays a crucial role in managing the daily operations of the Front of House. This position focuses on delivering legendary food and service while ensuring compliance with company policies and enhancing the customer experience. The Assistant Service Manager will work closely with the Service Manager to oversee staff training, scheduling, and sales strategies, all while maintaining a fun and engaging work environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversees service in the Front of House
• Enforces compliance with all employment policies in area of responsibility
• Oversees/approves all Front of House side work
• Provides/oversees thorough training
• Works during peak business times to set the pace in the Front of House
• Manages through 'hands on' supervision of the restaurant
• Ensures 100% table visitation of customers to gather customer insights
• Assists Service Manager in developing a sales strategy to improve customer experience and drive sales
• Leads by example to help develop employees and assistants
• Helps to cross-train employees
• Oversees scheduling of designated departments, as directed by the Service Manager
• Develops promotions (incentives) to drive sales and conducts alley rallies
• Manages compliance with Responsible Alcohol Service training requirements
• Understands and practices safe food handling procedures
• Ensures cleanliness of the restaurant and safety of guests are maintained
• Helps to control the guest flow
• Assists with liquor inventory & ordering
• Assists Local Store Marketer with building sales
• Maintains culture of the restaurant and lives core values of passion, integrity, partnership, and fun with purpose.

Requirements

• Experience in a restaurant management role
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures
• Experience in developing sales strategies and promotions.
