About The Position

Hand and Stone in Anthem, AZ is seeking an energetic, reliable, and highly skilled Assistant Services Manager to play a key role in the successful development and ongoing operation of our established location. This role will involve assisting with overall management, leading and mentoring all service and customer care teams (including massage therapists, estheticians, Sales Associates), and ensuring exceptional quality delivered across all customer care lines. The ideal candidate will be passionate about both the business and the wellness aspects of the industry, with a strong drive for sales, customer service, and team leadership across a diverse service team.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of sales and customer service experience with Hand and Stone brand.
  • Experience as a service provider in either massage therapy or esthetics (or both).
  • Strong retail and sales upgrade record.
  • Knowledge and understanding of all Hand and Stone services and product lines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven organizational and administrative skills.
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated with a drive for success in leading diverse teams.
  • Must carry liability insurance (if applicable to their service license).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be looking for a flexible schedule.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous training or leadership experience with both massage therapists and estheticians.
  • Experience with payroll, scheduling, and inventory management software.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Spa Director with the day-to-day operations of Hand and Stone, Anthem
  • Oversee and manage all Departments (Sales, Massage Therapy and Esthetics), ensuring high service / customer care standards.
  • Be responsible for achieving all Service and Retail Sales Goals as outlined by Franchise Owners and Management.
  • Train, monitor, and coach performance of all Service Providers (Massage Therapists and Estheticians) and Sales Associates on service business and sales specifics.
  • Lead by example while conducting a service book of scheduled appointments.
  • Monitor professional and retail product inventory and supply usage for all service departments.
  • Ensure excellent service is provided to members and guests by ensuring top-level massage and facial services are delivered, including advanced treatments.
  • Ensure customized treatment plans are developed for clients across all service lines.
  • Handle administrative tasks including inventory management and sales reporting for all service teams.
  • Promote the health and wellness benefits of all Hand and Stone services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to foster repeat business across all service lines.
  • Ensure a beautiful and professional environment at Hand and Stone, Anthem
  • Participate in offered training programs, conferences, and other opportunities for professional growth relevant to all service areas.
  • Assist in planning location events to gain members and booked appointments.
  • Meet weekly with the Spa Manager and/or Owner.
  • Maintain monthly email correspondence with all service teams to review performance and action plans.
  • Conduct quarterly service provider evaluations for both Massage Therapists and Estheticians.
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule, including one weekend day a week and an evening shift, working approximately 30-35 hours weekly.
