About the position
The Assistant Site Manager at New Home Co. plays a crucial role in supervising and coordinating construction activities to meet production schedules and ensure quality standards are met. This position supports the Site Manager in various tasks, including scheduling, quality control, and managing trade contractors and materials. The Assistant Site Manager is responsible for maintaining safety standards on the job site and providing leadership to team members, all while embodying the company's values and vision.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate construction activities as directed by the Site Manager.
- Assist with scheduling trade contractors and answering questions regarding the schedule in the Site Manager's absence.
- Inspect homes to ensure construction meets or exceeds quality standards and carry out field changes as instructed.
- Coordinate activities of trade contractors and ensure they report to the construction site as scheduled.
- Maintain safety precautions on the job site and implement Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) best practices.
- Provide feedback to the Site Manager regarding trade contractors and suppliers.
- Maintain updated information on all plans and specifications and assist the Customer Care Representative as needed.
- Model company values and provide leadership to team members.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
- Minimum of three to five years of progressive construction experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
