About the position

The Assistant Spa Director will play a crucial role in supporting the Spa Director in managing all operational and financial aspects of the Spa & Health Club at Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC. The Assistant Spa Director will be responsible for ensuring that the Spa remains at the forefront of the industry by offering innovative services that cater to the needs of our guests and members. This role requires a strong understanding of spa operations, as well as the ability to lead and motivate a team to deliver outstanding guest experiences. In addition to overseeing daily operations, the Assistant Spa Director will assist in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. This position will also involve collaborating with various departments to ensure seamless service delivery and to enhance the overall guest experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The Assistant Spa Director will also be expected to work irregular hours, including weekends and evenings, to meet the needs of the Spa and its clientele. Responsibilities

  • Support the Spa Director in overseeing all operational and financial aspects of the Spa & Health Club.
  • Ensure the Spa offers innovative services while maintaining a luxury service level for guests and members.
  • Assist in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with various departments to enhance the overall guest experience.
  • Lead and motivate the Spa team to deliver outstanding service.
  • Manage daily operations and ensure compliance with Four Seasons standards and policies.

Requirements

  • College degree preferably specializing in hotel management or equivalent experience is required.
  • Two to three years of previous Spa, Rooms Division or Front Desk Management experience.
  • Requires a working knowledge of division operations as well as Four Seasons cultural and core standards, policies, and standard operating procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends and evenings.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and oral communication in English.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in luxury hospitality environments.
  • Knowledge of spa services and treatments.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role within a spa or wellness setting.
