About the position

The Assistant Staff Analyst position at Heluna Health focuses on providing analytical support to programs aimed at housing and improving the health of clients experiencing homelessness. This role involves data collection, analysis, strategic reporting, and tool development to enhance program effectiveness and support continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, organize, and interpret complex data from various sources.
  • Analyze datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Facilitate discussions with HFH teams and/or external partners to investigate data sources and build queries for data exportation.
  • Collaborate with HFH programs to identify, track, and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Support statistical analyses of data for HFH programs, constructing a comprehensive view of process and outcome metrics.
  • Collaborate with program staff to identify data needs and develop tailored reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
  • Generate ad-hoc reports providing snapshot views of program status and support Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) projects.
  • Act as a thought-partner, finding creative ways to reflect the value of HFH programs and services.
  • Facilitate the design, build, and maintenance of analytical support tools for HFH staff and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular quality assurance checks to maintain data quality and consistency.
  • Provide training and technical assistance on data management and data tools.

Requirements

  • Three or more years of highly complex administrative experience in the health, housing, social services, or related sectors.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python).
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills for presenting data insights to stakeholders.

  • Experience working with a client-centric relational database.
  • Comfortable using various tools to analyze large datasets.
  • Experience leading projects where the best path forward is unclear.
  • Seasoned and effective facilitator and mediator.
