About the position

The Assistant Store Leader at ABC Fine Wine & Spirits is responsible for overseeing store operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving performance metrics. This role involves leadership tasks such as coaching team members, managing inventory, and maintaining compliance with operational policies. The Assistant Store Leader plays a crucial role in creating a positive shopping experience while contributing to the overall success of the store.

Responsibilities

• Participate in team member performance leadership by providing timely feedback, coaching, and encouragement.
• Ensure standards of service are met by greeting and providing excellent service to all guests.
• Drive store performance metrics such as average transaction and Sourced & Certified sales percentage.
• Oversee general operations of inventory control, replenishment, and merchandising guidelines.
• Accountable for learning ABC Fine Wine & Spirits' product and sharing knowledge with all guests and team members.
• Follow and enforce all operational compliance policies to ensure safety.
• Perform typical leadership tasks including opening/closing the store, cash control reconciliation, delegating tasks, and assisting with hiring and training of staff.

Requirements

• 21 years of age or older.
• At least 6 months of experience and/or training in a management or leadership role.
• At least 1 year of education from a college or technical school in Business Management or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven history of leadership and business agility.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as business requires, including nights and weekends, especially during holidays.
