About the position

The Assistant Store Leader at Range USA plays a crucial role in ensuring the success of the store by leading a team of associates to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a safe and compliant environment. This position involves supervising daily operations, managing sales performance, and ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards, all while fostering a positive team culture.

Responsibilities

• Achieve high levels of sales performance through excellent customer service practices.
• Monitor compliance with Range USA policies regarding funds, personnel practices, and store maintenance.
• Act as the Safety Leader, coaching staff on safety protocols and communicating with the Main Office.
• Recruit, interview, and hire top talent in a timely manner as the store administrator of the applicant tracking system.
• Conduct onboarding processes for new hires with assistance from the Store Leader.
• Create schedules, approve time sheets, and manage absences as the store administrator of the scheduling tool.
• Train and develop employees on the sales process to ensure consistency on the retail floor.
• Provide ongoing training, coaching, and feedback to improve associate performance.
• Ensure effective communication between the store, supervisors, and Main Office partners.
• Identify and resolve issues affecting service, efficiency, and productivity.
• Ensure compliance with ATF regulations and internal policies regarding firearms handling.
• Adhere to OSHA & EPA compliance related to state and local mandates, including lead safety requirements.
• Manage the range maintenance team personnel and monitor online learning completion.
• Responsible for safe counts and deposits, and opening/closing the store.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of retail sales experience.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and POS systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong relationship-building abilities.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
