About the position

The Assistant Store Manager at PLS is responsible for leading the store team to deliver exceptional customer service while achieving operational, sales, and financial goals. This role involves assisting the Store Manager in daily operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and fostering a strong customer service culture. The Assistant Manager also takes charge in the absence of the Store Manager, overseeing employee activities and maintaining store standards.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining exemplary customer service within the store and establishing special business relationships with customers.
  • Assisting the Store Manager in implementing strategies to help meet store goals and objectives.
  • Assisting the Store Manager with recruiting, developing, and motivating store employees.
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Establishing a strong customer service/selling culture to maximize sales.
  • Supervising Customer Service Representative activities in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Marketing within the community to increase market share and store revenues.
  • Resolving customer complaints for increased customer satisfaction.
  • Assisting the Store Manager with controlling labor hours, cash, store audits, and shrinkage.
  • Maintaining a neat and clean store environment for customers and employees.

Requirements

  • A minimum of one-year management experience in hospitality, financial services, retail, or restaurant industries.
  • Ability and willingness to engage with customers.
  • Ability to develop positive relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Strong desire to exceed corporate initiatives and inspire excellence in a team.
  • Superior verbal and written communication, and presentation skills.
  • High-energy, collaborative management experience.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • English fluency is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
