About the position

The Assistant Store Manager at LOFT is responsible for providing exceptional client service and supporting the Store Manager in overseeing the operational functions of the store. This role includes acting as the Manager on Duty in the absence of the Store Manager, handling client service issues, and ensuring compliance with company practices and procedures. The Assistant Manager plays a key role in driving revenue, managing the client experience, and coaching associates to maximize productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Providing exceptional client service and support to the Store Manager.
  • Operating as the Manager on Duty in the absence of a manager.
  • Performing operational and transactional functions, including handling client service issues.
  • Issuing approvals for desk transactions and managing store opening and closing procedures.
  • Coaching associates on client interactions and performance to maximize productivity.
  • Utilizing tools to ensure a client-focused team environment and driving volume by anticipating clients' needs.
  • Completing daily tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly and meets all company standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum six months of Sales Associate experience with ANN INC. or equivalent experience in a retail position.
  • Part-time or full-time managerial experience preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a retail management role.
  • Strong knowledge of visual merchandising standards and techniques.
