About the position

The Assistant Store Manager, Night Operations position is designed for individuals in training to learn the various responsibilities associated with managing a store. This role focuses on supporting the Store Manager in driving sales and profitability through effective leadership and communication with associates. The position encompasses customer service initiatives, operations management, and business analysis, preparing trainees for future leadership roles within the store.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Associates in customer service initiatives, ensuring the store's in-stock position and organized appearance.
  • Learn staffing and scheduling, identifying and resolving stock deficiencies, and supervising associates in selling behaviors.
  • Resolve customer issues and support service needs for installed sales and product sales.
  • Interview, hire, motivate, coach, train, and develop store associates.
  • Learn the performance management process, including semi-annual reviews and disciplinary actions.
  • Oversee front end processes involving sales and return transactions, as well as special services and lot support.
  • Manage back end processes, including receiving and freight teams to ensure proper stocking of merchandise.
  • Maintain and operate all store equipment and systems, managing daily financial operations.
  • Develop a command of store standard operating procedures (SOPs), especially those involving safety compliance.
  • Drive department profitability through analysis of sales trends and collaborate with key partners for merchandise planning.

Requirements

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
  • Completion of a high school diploma or GED.
