About the position

The Assistant Store Manager in Training (ASM in Training) position is designed to equip individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to support the Store Manager in driving store sales and profitability. This role involves learning various responsibilities across multiple managerial positions, including Assistant Store Manager and Operations Assistant Store Manager, with a focus on effective leadership and communication with store associates.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Associates in customer service initiatives, ensuring the store's in-stock position and maintaining an organized store appearance.
• Learn staffing and scheduling, identify and resolve stock deficiencies, and support service needs for product sales.
• Interview, hire, motivate, coach, train, and develop store associates, including executing performance management processes.
• Oversee front end processes involving sales and return transactions, as well as back end processes including receiving and freight teams.
• Manage daily financial operations and maintain store equipment and systems, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Drive department profitability through analysis of sales trends and collaborate with key partners for merchandise planning.

Requirements

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Completion of a high school diploma and/or GED is typically required.
• Minimum of 3 years of work experience.
