The Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager in maximizing store potential, achieving sales productivity goals and profitability as well as hiring, coaching, and developing associates as selling and style advisors. This role works closely with the Store Manager to carry out corporate policies and assist with ensuring excellent J.Jill visual merchandising and operational standards. In the absence of the Store Manager and Co-Manager, the Assistant Manager acts in the capacity of the Manager on Duty, ensuring that the store operates smoothly and efficiently. The Assistant Manager is responsible for leading sales generation and performance, coaching the store team, managing talent, overseeing visual merchandising, and ensuring operational excellence. This includes providing leadership in achieving individual and store sales and productivity performance goals, promoting a positive store atmosphere, assisting in recruiting and training talent, maintaining visual standards, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The Assistant Manager plays a crucial role in building customer loyalty and enhancing the overall shopping experience by leading associates to create genuine connections with customers and resolving any merchandise or customer service issues effectively.
