About the position

The Assistant Store Manager, Visual at Forever 21 is responsible for leading the store merchandising team and enhancing the customer experience through effective visual presentation and merchandising strategies. This role focuses on creating an inviting store ambiance that aligns with the company's values, driving customer satisfaction, and supporting store operations. The Assistant Store Manager, Visual works closely with the Store Manager to implement visual merchandising plans, coach staff, and ensure a high standard of customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the Store Manager to set the visual presentation of the store through merchandising and floor set planning.
  • Drive results by creating short-term plans and long-term strategies that enhance customer experience.
  • Assist in setting the tone and standards that drive customer satisfaction and market recognition.
  • Collaborate with management to create processes that drive sales and profitability.
  • Coach store supervisors and sales associates on customer service values and visual expectations.
  • Stay updated on retail trends and create initiatives for a notable customer experience.
  • Communicate regularly with management regarding sales, visual execution, and team performance.
  • Develop and implement floor set plans and direct execution by store staff.
  • Oversee window execution and styling of mannequins, adjusting presentations as needed.
  • Analyze merchandise reports to make product placement adjustments.
  • Train and direct staff on merchandise handling and visual techniques.
  • Lead store earnings by driving sales and managing controllable contributions.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 to 4 years of retail management experience required.
  • Proven visual merchandising skills within a high-volume retailer.
  • Strong customer focus and leadership skills.
  • Skilled in coaching, training, sales generation, and strategic planning.
  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to conduct training workshops and provide feedback.
  • Cross-functionally sound in store operations.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as required.
