About the position

The position at Chevron Stations Inc (CSI) involves assisting the Station Manager in the daily operations of a retail gas station. The role requires maintaining oversight of station operations, providing direction and motivation to staff, ensuring compliance with safety and operational guidelines, and delivering excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, dependable, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while focusing on customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Station Manager in day-to-day operations of the retail facility.
  • Maintain oversight of station operations and staff in the Station Manager's absence.
  • Provide work direction, motivation, and coaching to staff during shifts.
  • Support and adhere to established safety, security, and quality guidelines.
  • Respond to accidents or incidents in a professional and timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with company wage & hour requirements.
  • Support CSI's cash/money handling and accountability processes.
  • Maintain courteous and professional contact with co-workers, customers, and vendors.
  • Perform all duties of Customer Service Representative (CSR) as needed.
  • Assist with product inventory management and conduct mini-audits as requested.
  • Use and maintain cleanliness of all food service equipment.
  • Complete daily/weekly administrative tasks regarding retail & gas sales.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced retail, food service, or fuel environment.
  • Demonstrated experience operating a cash register and related equipment.
  • Knowledge of proper sanitation and safety requirements for food storage and serving.
  • Ability to work a variety of hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal & written communication skills.
  • High School graduate or equivalent and a minimum of 21 years of age.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in team management or leadership roles.
  • Familiarity with loss prevention processes and cash handling procedures.
