About the position

The Assistant Store Manager at Kimberton Whole Foods is a full-time leadership role responsible for supporting the Store Manager in daily operations, team management, and achieving performance goals. This position requires a commitment to service leadership, effective communication, and the ability to inspire and develop team members. The Assistant Store Manager will also oversee store operations, ensuring compliance with company standards and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Store Manager in hiring, training, coaching, and developing team members.
  • Participate in management meetings and initiate departmental meetings to engage with team members.
  • Support the store experience by upholding Kimberton Whole Foods guidelines.
  • Work with the Store Manager to create weekly schedules for maximum efficiency.
  • Ensure all shelves are fully stocked, faced, detailed, and accurately labeled.
  • Provide leadership that inspires teamwork and drives results.
  • Maintain confidentiality of team members, customers, and company information.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Ability to work a Tuesday - Saturday work week.
  • Availability to work opening, closing, and midday shifts within a 6:00am-8:30pm timeframe.
  • Full sense range (vision, hearing, and sense of smell) for quality control and communication.
  • Ability to lift, grip, and carry objects weighing up to 50 to 75 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to stoop, squat, kneel, and walk short distances.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in grocery or retail management.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management and merchandising.
  • Ability to work in cold environments and handle cold products.
