About the position

The position involves leading the daily operations of a retail store for Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA), focusing on achieving operational goals, enhancing customer service, and managing team performance. The role is pivotal in supporting the mission of ending unemployment through effective store management and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Leads daily operations of the sales floor at a retail store.
• Develops and executes retail operations plan to achieve financial goals.
• Monitors product levels to meet sales budget targets.
• Manages payroll and operating costs to budget.
• Ensures excellent customer service is delivered by Team Members.
• Handles customer situations and finds appropriate solutions.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of store locations.
• Partners with community businesses to promote Goodwill's mission.
• Acts as a Goodwill ambassador in the community.
• Trains and develops store Team Members.
• Processes complex sales transactions, including returns.
• Ensures compliance with company standards and procedures.
• Collaborates with support areas to achieve business goals.
• Responsible for performance management and team development.
• Models Goodwill Core Values and drives company culture change.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• One year of work experience in Retail Management required.
• One year of customer service experience required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable.
• Ability to speak and read English proficiently.
