About the position

As an Assistant Store Manager at Dollar Tree, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional customer service and supporting the daily operations of the store. This position involves assisting the Store Manager with inventory management, store appearance, and administrative tasks, while also supervising and training store associates. Your leadership will help maintain a positive shopping environment and drive store success.

Responsibilities

• Greets and assists customers in a positive, approachable manner.
• Maintains a presence in the store by providing excellent customer service.
• Ensures a clean, well-stocked store for customers.
• Supervises, trains, and develops Store Associates on Family Dollar operating practices and procedures.
• Assists in unloading all merchandise from delivery truck and organizes merchandise.
• Transfers merchandise from stockroom to store.
• Assists Store Manager in ordering merchandise and record keeping including payroll, scheduling, and cash register deposits and receipts.
• Supports Store Manager in loss prevention efforts.
• Assumes certain management responsibilities in absence of Store Manager.
• Follows all Company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Prefer completion of high school or equivalent education.
• Prefer store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments.
• Ability to read, interpret and explain operational directives.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs. and occasionally up to 55 lbs.
• Ability to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
