About the position
The Assistant Outlet Store Manager will support the Outlet Manager in overseeing daily operations, including hiring, team building, and managing store personnel to meet sales goals and control expenses. This role emphasizes strong leadership, customer service, and the ability to adapt in a dynamic retail environment, ensuring that the mission of Goodwill Northern New England is effectively communicated to customers.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Outlet Manager in hiring and team building.
- Manage day-to-day operations of store personnel.
- Achieve sales plans and control expenses.
- Protect company assets and ensure compliance with business practices.
- Motivate and lead team members to meet productivity goals.
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve issues as they arise.
Requirements
- Three years of retail experience.
- One year of supervisory experience or relevant Goodwill Retail experience.
- Strong leadership skills and experience in scheduling and team supervision.
- Customer-centered approach with a focus on service excellence.
- Demonstrated integrity and business ethics.
- Ability to adapt in a growing and changing environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making ability.
- Goal-oriented and results-driven mindset.
