About the position

The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in various aspects of store operations, including sales, customer service, and maintaining store appearance. This role involves managing the store in the absence of the Store Manager and leading the team to provide excellent customer service. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
  • Supervise customer service levels in the retail showroom, ensuring team member execution on customer service programs.
  • Work with the store manager to ensure adequate staffing at the retail sales counter during peak hours.
  • Assist the store manager in setting team member goals and providing feedback on their achievement.
  • Participate in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks and evaluating candidates.
  • Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
  • Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders in a timely manner.
  • Utilize electronic outside purchase order ledger for special orders and outside purchases.
  • Ensure efficient processing of retail customer returns and exchanges.
  • Ensure all merchandise is invoiced before leaving the store.
  • Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks as assigned.
  • Ensure team members comply with company policies regarding work schedules and clocking in/out.
  • Perform store opening/closing duties and secure the store according to company policy.
  • Assist in maintaining the store building and equipment.

Requirements

  • Sales Specialist Training
  • Assistant Manager Certification
  • RSS Certification

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified Parts Professional Certification
  • ASE Certification
  • Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
