About the position
The Assistant Swim Team Coach is responsible for teaching and coaching swimmers on the Storm Swim Team and competitive swim classes. This seasonal position requires interaction with team members and monitoring their safety in a friendly and professional manner during swim team events and practices.
Responsibilities
- Coaches and teaches swimmers on the Storm Swim Team and/or competitive swim classes under the direction of the Head Coach.
- Attends and coaches Storm Swim Team dual and championship swim meets; helps with set up and clean up at meets.
- Attends and participates in all events during the Storm Team Season.
- Reports to Head Coach weekly, concerning responsibilities that have been met and tasks for the following week.
- Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Completes required education assignments annually.
- Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Swim team experience preferred.
