About the position

The Assistant Teacher/Floater at Mrs. Teapot's Tiny Tots is responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for children in a daycare setting. This role involves supervising and engaging with children during playtime, implementing educational activities, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. The position aims to facilitate developmentally appropriate activities that promote positive social skills and cognitive development in children.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in the daycare facility
• Supervise and engage with children during playtime and activities
• Assist with feeding, diapering, and other basic care needs
• Implement age-appropriate educational activities and curriculum
• Maintain a clean and organized daycare environment
• Communicate with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns
• Follow daycare policies and procedures for safety and behavior management

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience working with children in a babysitting, caregiving, or nannying role
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques for children of different ages
• Ability to effectively manage a classroom setting
• Strong communication skills to interact with children, parents, and coworkers
• Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children

Nice-to-haves

• Teaching experience (1 year preferred)
• Childcare experience (1 year preferred)
• Office of Child Care Central Background Registration (preferred)
